I completely understand...

Had TURBT May 30, hemorrhaged May 31 and didn't get home until June 4th

From the moment the cath came out on the 2nd I've had that same urgency. It's almost comical if it wasn't so aggravating. All I have to do is turn the water on in the sink and BOOM! I gotta go RIGHT NOW!

I start BCG July 17. My URO did just give me tabs for a 2 week trial of Myrbetriq to control the urgency issue. I'm only 2 days into it and was warned it may take 4-5 days to take full effect. I'm definitely already getting SOME relief but still room for improvement

Best wishes for you and yours

Have you discussed this issue with your Uro, or call the nurse...i would be an infection causing it. Hope things will change positively for you

I have the same urgency issue following BCG administration. The need-to-go can hit every 5 to 10 minutes, and output is small - 5 to 20 ml. My doctors tell me, "It can happen - the inflammation is what we want the BCG to do". It is no fun being tethered to the bathroom - adult diapers and a urinal may offer some mobility. Pyridium can help with urgency and urinary pain if OK with the doctor. Additional liquid intake can help with the pain and burning, but check with the doctor about timing a liquid increase after BCG treatments.

Always always - bring every concern, issue, problem or fear to your doctor or care team. If they don't hear from you, they can't help. Make sure that your requests for help get answered - there is no need for the road to beating BC needs to be any harder than necessary.

I assume that he has discussed this with his urologist? What did he have to offer?

CIS often acts as if it were a really bad urinary tract infection, including urgency. BCG can do the same. His urologist may have something to offer to help this.

My husband has pretty bad urgency after his 2nd cytoscopy, not much after his first. I wonder what this means. He had his first BCG yesterday. He had high grade CIS and papillary. Kind of worried as well as him needing to be near a bathroom always.
