Kris,
Welcome. We are always concerned when someone has symptoms of a problem. 1st, none of us are doctors and your symptoms could be a myriad number of causes of which MANY are simple and not cancer. Yes, it can be cancer, could be an unusual UTI, could be a stone has nicked your kidney or ureter, sometimes a reason is never found. However, you do want to find the causes. I believe a urologist would be a good start. A CT scan is probably a test that will be done and a cystoscope-a peek into the bladder. Those 2 tests are pretty common plus the CT scan can look at the kidneys also. Be sure you get one that does see a lot of bladder cancer as many these guys/gals end up with seeing men with prostate problems as a the bigger part. Do it now, if nothing else for peace of mind.
Ask away as someone usually ckecks by trying to help find answers.
