MB,

Most of us here, if not all, were hit hard by the unforseen diagnosis of bladder cancer. Most of us, but NOT all, had a diagnosis that appears to be similar to what you described in your post - many of us had an initial diagnosis of Superficial Bladder Cancer, caught early.

The good news is that superficial bladder cancer is highly responsive to treatment. It does require constant monitoring.

Once the TURBT and the associated pathology report are completed, you will have a much clearer idea of the path ahead.

Until then, hold on to the term "Highly Treatable", while you wait for more information and are presented with treatment options. Allow a few days to get over the punched-in-the-gut shock of having the word "cancer" applied to a loved one.

Best,
Jack
