Update. Preop on the 10th and resection on the 18th!
8/9/16: 2cm tumor found on CT
8/10/16: cystoscopy
8/18/16: TURBT; HG Non-Invasive
9/29/16: 2nd TURBT clear
Completed first BCG regimen: 1/31/17

At the VA. Only two urology surgeons on staff and booked out to October. Trying to go Choice sooner. Also going back on Tricare Prime but that don't take effect until September 1. By the time I get into to a ne PCM and get referred, it'll take longer than waiting till October.

The longer wait might be OK....but then again, it might not. I second Alan's suggestion that you see someone else....

2 or 3 week wait is ok on the TURB. Two months, no. Is there a medical reason why the longer delay than normal? As many of us would say sometimes a second opinion is good. A major cancer center/teaching hospital. Also, you want a practice that sees a LOT of bladder cancer as so many see mostly prostate issues.
DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Well, the tumor is 2cm. Not getting TURBT until October. Hope it doesn't invade between now and then. Won't know grade and stage until after that. Seems like a long time to stew over it

ahhh, another bathroom crier ~ my favorite place to go to shed some tears.
She might benefit from joining this forum also. Lots of information here.

The waiting is difficult, try not to stress (too much).
