Just diagnosed with BC and a bit confused

Carls. You are very lucky, I have the same thing and have been dealing with it for some 8 years. I had some BCG. It does and more than likely will come back. Mine has come back many times. You just have to keep your appointments and go in and get it when it comes back. This is something you are going to have to deal with from now on. Some of the real lucky ones never have it come back, I hope you are one of them.
You will have to do check ups every 3 months for 2 years then every 6 months for 2 years then 1 time a year from now on. If it comes back you have to start all over again, but it is worth it. Best of luck to you my friend!!

Hello all

Here's my story in a nut shell.

52 year old male, athletic, excellent health, no medications whatsoever .. really the epitome of good health.. except I found out I had BC.

1 1/2 years ago I noticed blood in my urine. Had a cysto and ultra sound of bladder and kidneys and nothing found. 8 months later blood again and this time a CT scan of mid body and nothing found, 2 months ago blood again and last month another cystoscopy , this time a 3 cm tumor was found growing on my bladder inner wall. 2 weeks ago I had a TURBT and found that it was fortunately a low grade, surface only papillary carcinoma (TaG1). It was growing from a stork and looked very much like a small coral reef. Urologist stated I don't need BCG but will need to do cysto every 3 months for next few years. As I realize by reading other posting I can be considered one of the luckier cases of BC, but I'm still very concerned and a bit confused.

So here's my confusion. When I ask questions like what are the odds of recurrence and if/how BC reoccurs, all I get is vague answers like 50/50 chances and we just have to wait and see... well, that's not very comforting of an answer and I was hoping if anyone has been in the same situation as I am today. I'd really appreciate any feedback as to what to expect. As you can imagine my mind is racing with a lot of unpleasant possible outcomes. I'm also trying to evaluate using bladder 2.2 but can't seem to find any compelling proof that it really works.. and noting that it may cause liver damage due to its high vitamin A content and possibly promotes lung cancer I'm not too keen of starting it unless I fell more confident in its results.

Thank you all in advance to whomever reply's and takes their time to address my concerns.
