Question: With CIS can you "ever" be considered cancer free?

Hi, and welcome. Glad you finally got a proper diagnosis, although one not most welcome to hear. And starting with a topic I can relate to. The treatment is good. I had 3 surgeries prior to starting BCG. Been thru the 6X routine twice, and the 3X maintenance twice. It's working. Good luck with your BCG. You'll probably find it more annoying than any serious side effects, and that's just for one day. But do report any wild abnormalities to the doctor, just in case. Normal may be pain, burning, bleeding, frequency, and fatigue. Hold it in there! And do the disinfecting routine. Come back, and start a new topic for your updates.

Thanks Sara Anne!

This is a nice site to join and see what others are experiencing. I will update my progress as I go and will follow others as well.

Regards,
Mike

Welcome to a group you did not want to join! You seem to have done your homework and are headed the right way with BCG. It IS the treatment of choice for CIS!
BTW, CIS is sort of like a rash on the surface of the bladder and would be more than difficult to remove. Which is why so many of us are grateful for BCG.

Let us know how you are doing!
