Jim,

UC Davis is good. They have great bladder cancer docs there. The ultrasound in April doesn't really mean anything since they weren't looking for anything in the bladder. That is, unless you have a copy of the scan and it covered the bladder and shows that nothing is there.

Glad you going to the right place to get treatment. It makes sense for them to get a good look before cutting things out.

Hang in there. Likely, your wife may be more in a panic than you so be sure to stick together and watch each others back! :)

Hello Jim... You are very welcome. I am glad you are near an excellent medical facility and doctors. Taking a proactive approach, even being a bit pushy (or a lot pushy if necessary) is your best offense. It seems you have to advocate for what you need in today's medical system. Sounds like you've got a good strategy moving forward.

Best wishes to you and your wife,
Catherine

I want to thank y'all for your quick and wonderful comments. My wife agrees that we
have found the right place.

Mike, the urologist that told me that I had cancer will not be the one treating it.
I am going to the University of Califrornia Medical Group at Davis. They are rated quite good and do a lot of reasearch , etc in bladder cancer.
I will get a Doctor that specializes in cancer. We live in the Sacramento area
and are close to their facilities.

I am disappointed the delay and will try Monday to be more assertive. I have
sent my regular Doctor and urologist messages on the net but I don't expect
to hear before Monday.

I also had an ultra sound April 1 of my abdomen as part of a pre op for a rountine
colon scan. The ultra sound did not show the mass.

I am rambling so I need to stop. thanks a gain and I will keep you posted.

Jim
