Made it through the TURBT

Good job, and yes, a lot of things happened fast for you. My first time had the cath-bag too. Not bad, but uncomfortable to use. When removed, I had to remember the handy little pouch wasn't there anymore. Good luck on your reports, and hope your journey continues in positive directions.

I am so glad you made it through this step ( and in such good spirits I might add) good job. If you think of any other questions to ask your doc write them down. And for questions for us you know what to do! I'm so happy for you! ;) :silly:

So happy that things went smoothly. A TURBT is usually not as bad as we fear it is going to be but when it's the first time on the heels of the initial diagnosis it's a frightening proposition. Somehow I talked myself into staying relatively calm until I had the path report back and knew what I was dealing with, then I would make a plan and deal with it head-on.

(That worked MOST of the time.) B)

Treat yourself to some hard-earned rest and good food over the holiday weekend! If any questions or thoughts come up, you know where we are!

Take care...

Best wishes... Catherine

Yea! With your generous support I made through the Tues morning TURBT and was home by noon. I have a cathater and bag until next Monday but it wasn't as bad as I expected. It was an intimidating notion. Got a 3 cm tumor removed and DR said it was like a ball or fist. He scraped the bladder wall without perforating it and I got a direct dose of mytomycin-C directly into the bladder. I was up and about but not terribly steady until this morning, I had only taken one pain pill last night and I figure it's not a bad idea to take an anti-anxiety pill before bed because my mind in still racing. Considering all that has transpired in just 8 days, I'm sure my brain was protecting me from the shock of it all. I think I have finally caught up to reality and am dealing with it pretty well. Of course finding out the staging, etc is the next step come Monday.
Breathing a sigh of relief that I can enjoy this beautiful day.
And again...thank you from the bottom of my heart and the top part of my bladder!
