Way to go Julie!

You seem to have your mind in the right place! The "scared and confused" has become "mildly concerned and, Just a few minor issues."

The skill of your surgeon and the "gas man" and the attending nurses will get you through this. The care of the health care professionals will aid in your recovery. And YOU will make sure to take care of yourself and get well!

See? Simple. No problem. :) Yeah right!

I know this is a BIG Deal! With so many great people working on you, taking care of you, supporting you and praying for you, you are in good hands indeed!

I will warn you about some changes you will experience as you enter the cancer free part of your life :
You will Love life again.
Big problems will seem smaller and managable.
The air will smell sweeter, Even on smoggy days
Your family will seem closer and less of a pain.
Your friends will mean so much more.
You will be nicer to others
You WILL seek out others who need a shoulder.
You CAN relate!
You can Chill Out better!
You will be stronger than you ever thought!
You will be changed!

Welcome to the Club

Julie, as the family elder, I am the designated worrier. I’m really quite good at it and will do all the worrying and nervousness for you. This will allow you to just take long deep breaths and relax. I found surgery to be a snap. Now the extended liquid diet was another story. After weeks (seemed like months) of breakfast, lunch, & dinner of BROTH I was starting to like it! OMG This convinced me that I was losing my mind. HA!
