Hi All: Tomorrow I begin BCG for the first time....I posted yesterday with all the particulars regarding what has lead me to this part of my life. I must admit with many allergic reactions to far less ominous medications I am a little more than apprehensive and scared. It will be good to get "the first one under my belt", so to speak then I will have something to go on as I move ahead.
As the BCG will be administered at Walter Reed Army Hospital in D.C. and we live some 100 miles away, we will stay in the area overnight afterwards. From what everyone has written here it seems a bit far to travel in commute traffic, drink abundance of water and tinkle every 15 minutes - when the 100 mile trip can take in excess of 2 1/2 to 3 hours at best.
Taking a good book and my IPOD with favorite music to calm the nerves and settle in for the two hour stretch. Thanks to everyone for kind words and support. So glad I found this site. Pop in again soon. /Sandra
