Linsey....not a lot of specialists in bladder cancer there...prostate yes...bladder no. The very best happens to be at the U. of Minn...Dr. Konety. He just came from UCSF and is well recognised. I would definately seek a second opinion from him and any subsequent surgery. Path slides need a second look also. Abbott pretty good in the cardiology department though.

Abbott doctors in MN was created by Linsey
Hello,
My father age 66 recently had a tumor removed from his bladder. After pathology tests came back, it was found to be invasive. The surgeon then ordered a ct scan to see if the cancer has spread. Thankfully it has not! After seeing an oncologist from Abbott, there was some concern about calcification around his heart. To see if he can handle surgery to remove the bladder, he has to have a stress test.
So this is where we are right now.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about urologists and oncologist at Abbott? I've been reading good things about the U of M-Minneapolis but he has been seen with Abbott doctors so far.

Also, does anyone have some good websites with pros and cons for neo bladder vs. ileal conduits?

Thanks,
Linsey
