Well as I first posted I was dx with a tumor on my bladder on 1/8. Not something anyone wants to hear but now it is time to deal with it. When I got home and let my brain clear some I knew I was going to see another urologist. No offense to this urologist but my gut feeling he was not the Dr I wanted and the hospital he wanted to do the biospy at I was not satisfied with at all. Unlucky to hear of the the tumor but I am lucky I live near Philadelphia with some outstanding hospitals and some of the best Dr.'s in the world in whatever field your disease may fall under. After reviewing all of my choices I chose Dr. Wien a urologist and oncologist and all the credentials that looked super to me. Now I know he just has the info that we found out from the first urologist. So I know he will scope me again to have a peek for himself and as far as the biospy that will be his call plus as you all know the insurance things you have to go thru setting exams up etc. So no stage of the cancer for me as of yet but I am moving forward and so thankful until I do find out where I stand I have placed myself in the hands of a great Dr.

I am no stranger to surgeries and at 52 having both a bifemoral bypass for a blocked artery in right leg and then a left hip replacement. The point I am trying to make here I was lucky and chose 2 great surgeons for both of these procedures and I felt very comfortable and at ease with both of these guys. Every surgery is spooky with risks but before you go under as I mentioned you want to feel as comfortable as you can under the circumstances.

Not to sound like a broken record but with this first urologist I just simply did not have this feeling and thru my life I have always found it better to follow my instincts. I have not been staged yet but I hear alot of talk about second opinions here on this board so I am no expert but if you don't feel comfortable please go get that 2nd opinion. We all have but one life and I know each and everyone of us want the best possible care we can get. Wendy and Rosemary you are both angels. God Bless All- Joe
