and I'm still worried! First off the scan ordered was without contrast.. are CT scans without contrast still good for detecting bladder tumours? Anyways the CT only showed a few small stones and what worried me was that the doctor said he didn't think the stones were big enough to be causing me much pain and they didn't see a stone in my bladder which is where all my pain is. so I had this CT without contrast, the ultrasound and the cytology and no sign of cancer yet but I'm probably more worried than ever especially with this excruciating pain while I urinate. I see my urologist again in 20 days. Any opinions? thanks

Hootie,

You must have a heavy concentrate of ACID urine. DRINK LOTS OF GOOD WATER and do some quiet meditation. Your burning will subside as well your imaginary dis-ease.

Hootie, have you looked at the site Rosemary referenced? I think it's way more likely you have one of the many different bladder conditions that can cause chronic pain. I don't think it's bladder cancer, but I do think you have a serious condition that needs some kind of treatment, if possible.

What does the uro say now about the state of things?
Wendy
