Hello friends!

Had a good follow up at UM today. Cystogram that showed no leaks in the neo bladder so the cath was removed. It's great to be un-tethered! Using the UM schedule of urinating every 2 hours for the first week, so far so good. I seem to be able to control it with just a few leaks now and then.

Hox - how did the surgery go?

Thanks everyone for all your support! Life is good!

Andy,

Glad to hear you're doing so well. You are going to feel so
much better when you get everything out! I think that is kind
of a turning point.
Wishing you the best.

From Andy:

Thanks for the new thread! I think I'm doing really good overall. At least the home health nurse that's been in says so. My digestive system has finally settled down and things are regular again. That really had been the only issue since surgery. A little less sore everyday, trying to walk a little farther everyday. Flushing the catheter has been no problem and I get very little mucos when I do. I drink a ton of water (and an occasional beer) so that's probably helping to keep things clear. No pain pills other than an occasional Tylenol for over a week now. Friday I go to UM for a cystogram and if that's good the cath comes out. Staples out on Friday too. Really looking forward to being "untethered" and starting to train the neo bladder.

Hope to see you Friday, thanks everyone for all the good thoughts, and good luck tomorrow Rick!
