Rick, Concerned/scared is normal.......Don't ya think!?!?!
This is a big deal! Just keep a positive attitude, and we will keep you in line, if you start to stray.

It sounds like you have a large support group, which will aide you dramaticly in your recovery. You will have days where you feel blue, and days where you think you are going nowhere fast, but all in all, it will be behind you in no time flat. I still can't believe I am 10 months post op, and feeling great. Where does time go?

Thanks for the supportive comments... Tuesday is my prep day. Wednesday the 17th is surgery... in hospital at 10 AM... on the table at noon... should be in recovery by 5 or 6 PM... Concerned but not fearful thanks to all of you on line, my wife, family and friends... Crazy how something like this can make you aware of how lucky you are. Rick

I agree with Mike and Jim! Good luck Rick - you'll do great. Be sure to update us when you can. I'm doing better each day, can't remember the last pain pill I've taken. My digestive system is getting back to normal also, a good thing for sure. The home nurse had been in twice and says I'm doing great. Hopefully next Friday will see the staples come out as well as the catheter. Depends on the cystogram.

Jim - I have the cystogram at 9 next Friday and then I see the nurses at 1:30 to hopefully have everything removed. I don't see Dr. Hafez until April. Probably see you in the waiting room at the Cancer Center - looking forward to meeting you.
