Last of the drains are out and I get to go home today!! I can't believe I'll get to sleep in my own bed tonight - life is good. Thanks for everything folks - you've really given me inspiration. And more than everything, thanks to my wife Helen. She's been on the other side as a breast cancer survivor and knows exactly what I've been going through. Her strength is the reason I've done as well as I have post-op. Life will slowly return to normal now, and I'm looking forward to slow walks outside, home cooking, and March Madness. I'll update in a few days. Onward and Upward!

Andy,

Best of luck on the liquid diet. If that works well, you will be on your way home very soon! Keep walking. :)

cancer Free..... cancer Freee...... cancer FREEEEEEEEEE!

Andy is the man! Great to hear of your progress! Keep it UP!
Make sure to kiss the woman next to you.... She had to be AWAKE those hours you were under! Just taking it easy and sleeping!

You will soon be just another success story with a great story to tell someone scared and worried because they just heard the news; "cancer" You will be able to tell them how you went in and conquered the monster!

I am proud of You!!

Hey Rick -

First couple of days are not fun, pretty tough. But you do see improvement each day and little things mean alot. I get to start a liquid diet today. YAHOO! And when we hopefully get to say "cancer free" it will all be worth it!
