I wanted to give you an update on Pam. I am emailing her with directions on how to log into the site, in the meentime I think she could really do with some advice. I recvd. this from her this morning:

Jack contacted me on the BCAN site and said to contact you or Pat .
I told him you and I have been emailimg .
He gave me the link to the other site .
I could read the posts thanks
I could not log in .

Yanoshak is the first dr he said BCG supreficail .
Lab reports said T2
second dr is davies he told us Monday it loked like rc, neo and prostae removal.
Wed. he called after Lab read results said BCg is fine .
Confused, overwhelmed .
Thinking third opinion.Terry is getting stubborn I can make all the calls to drs . But I can not get him to go .
He will start BCG with local dr.Yanoshak.
Unless something changes.
Thank you , Pam

Hopefully she will be talking here for herself soon.

Pam..here's the scoop on the best docs in Penn for bladder cancer...all listed in Castle Connelly's best docs in the US
First Doctor: S Bruce Malkowicz MD at U. of Penn
www.castleconnolly.com/doctors/full.cfm?source=ccm&doctorID=80CC012792
Second..Dr.Robert Uzzo at Fox Chase Medical
www.castleconnolly.com/doctors/full.cfm?source=ccm&doctorID=16CC001478
These are the top 2 in Penn in bladder cancer..Dr. Malkowicz trained at USC/Norris..top hospital for blc ..and Dr. Uzzo at Cleveland Clinic..another top hospital for urology.
Make the calls to either one and quickly. I can't believe someone would tell you that you have invasive bladder cancer and then said to go on BCG. How about a knife to the heart instead.
Don't mess around with anyone but the best....these are the guys. Drag your husband there if you have to...bribe him with chocolate...whatever it takes ...just get there. Jack i hope you'll pass this on.....thanks

Bedford isn't to far from me. Tell them about Dr. Schoenberg at John Hopkins. Thats who I see and I really like him. Rocky

His 2nd opinion Uro is Dr. Bejamen Davies in Pittsburgh.
Pat and Webs please help Pam if you can. I convinced her to get a 2nd opinion, but do not know how qualified Dr. Davies is, or what hospital he does his surgeries,he was not my choice. I do not know stage or grade either, she did take the path reports and slides from lab to Dr. Davies. Davies tells them based on the info supplied he was invasive and needed an RC, then called them Wed and said his lab only sees noninvasive, and he should start BCG.
Webs try to get her to join here, she is getting nowhere at BCAN. She needs advice from Pat re Drs and hospitals.
They are very nice people in a small town and have no one to help them.
Thanks,
Jack
PS I just emailed Pam on BCAN and advised her to join here at ABLCS and ask for Pat's help.
