I just did some sleuthing, and believe that the "P" codes are the same as the familiar "T" codes. I think the "T" has always referred to the primary tumor, and possibly there is some shift to using "P" instead of "T" so it's clearer that it's the primary tumor being described. I've found no indication that that there is actually any new coding system. (But maybe somebody with more knowledge will have a more accurate explanation.) I did notice that it seemed to be largely people from MSK using the "P in publications.

Ann

Small TA Grade 1, May-06; recur (2 tiny), same, June-08; TURBTs both times. BCG begun July-08, dosage to 1/3rd May-10, completed treatment December-11. All clear since 2008.

Hi DIB. Go to the top bar on this site that has Home, BLC Information,,News, etc. Click on BLC Information and then staging/grading. That should explain what you want to know.
