I'm a 77 year old, still working male, diagnosed with BC in August. On August 22 I had a TURB. The path report says "Superficial, papillary urethelial carcinoma, low grade; no invasive tumor seen and no underlying invasion seen". However, the size of this thing was 3x3x1cm. Isn't that considered a pretty large tumor? My doc wants to do nothing except have me come back in three months for another cysto. Is this the way to deal with this size tumor? Shouldn't he be doing blood work or CT's to be certain the cancer hasn't spread some other place? If so, how often do they need to be done?
