I shall ask what is possibly a stupid question...but if a tumor has not yet been staged how does a surgeon make a determination as to use intravesical therapy or not?
Doesn't the single skill of the surgeon become a really big determining factor?
I know what everyone is going through. Just dx on wednesday. Going for the TUR one week from today. Dr stated based on cystoscopy appears one tumor, rather large however also based on his physical exam and review of CAT scan, he is 95% confident it is superficial. I have lost about 4 pounds constantly thinking of this over the past two days. It is so much on my mind that I have stomach aches. Feels good to discuss this.
