Hi. I am at UCD. I did look up Dr. Lamm's web site. My doctor previously declined to do maintenance after the 3 turb because I reported side effects with BCG. however, I was ok with that a year ago because he had put a hole in my bladder wall. I wanted to be sure that that was completely healed before any other instillations. However, there was nothing prescribed for side effects.
Now it is a year and I read the stats for recurrence (none for me so far), there appears to be a high recurrence before the third year out for grade 3.
a CAT and cystoscopy done in April was negative. Following cysto with bleeding that increased the third week out, with other symptoms. Bleeding has stopped. A cysto might disrupt a cis site causing bleeding. The site might be missed with the scope because its flat or in the urethra. A resident did the cysto with doctor present. Dr. not responding to my written card over two weeks ago when dr. out of town or to call yesterday afternoon.
