First time at this site. My mom – age 80 – just had biopsy done yesterday. Her doctor said he saw a white patch which he has never seen before. We get feedback in 8-10 days. She had Leukemia in 2002 – did chemo and has been free from that since 2004. She has had UTI on and off for several years – the last one for the past 5 months – many antibiotics and finally so much pain that new doctor scheduled a scope and now the biopsy. Thoughts on the white patches??? Thank you for any input.

I am sorry about your mom. We are not med. doctors here. So my guess is white patches can be necrotic tissue from uti. That does not mean that they are cancer. Hopefully she stays cancer free after beating the leukemia.
