    Hi There-

My father was diagnosed with non invasive bladder cancer in March 2019- underwent 10 rounds of BCG and due to BCG shortage undergoes monitoring. His urine cytology was normal up until now but upon a routine exam they found NO red blood cells and trace of White Blood cells in his urine. Does this mean cancer has returned? Any Help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

HOPE everyone is staying safe and well!

    Best,

    Neelloo

A “trace” of white cells probably means nothing. If there were a lot of them it might indicate a bladder infection, but a trace is normal. It definitely does NOT mean cancer.
