  • What is “normal” now

2 months ago I noticed blood in my urine. Since then I have had successful tumor removal and now on a waiting list for BCG. I have struggled with healing and not knowing what the “normal” healing feeling should be I understand everyone is different. I am up every 2 hours using the restroom, sleep deprivation is kicking in, dull pelvic pain, slight pink color post surgery week 3 and the feeling that I have a prolapse when I urinate. I was told it will take weeks to heal since 80% of my bladder was scraped. Since I think I am still in shock with the diagnosis and quick surgery I can’t shake the feeling they are coming back. It would be nice to hear what the new normal is after this surgery.
    Thanks,
    Cheri

After the healing from the surgery, and probably the BCG, you should be back to where you were before this started.

You need to call your urologist’s office and tell them what you are experiencing. There are medications that you can take to help with the urgency.

    You will be fine.
