Well guys here is one for weird reactions. Today I had my last chemo:woohoo: yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! I was walking out to my car when all of a sudden my feet started burning. By the time I got back inside my feet were red and it was spreading up my legs. The nurses sprang into action and administered a whopping dose of benedryl and a steroid:blink: After sitting there for an hour and having the doc check me out they decided I was ok to go home as long as I continued taking benedryl for the rest of the day.:) Good news is they told me the steroid should clear up the rash the chemo is causing on my face.:woohoo: I must say it is less itchy this afternoon.

Celebration time I am done with chemo.

Hey Char…….i found this on Drugs.com about Venofer
    More common—with injection only

Backache , groin, side, or muscle pain; chest pain; chills; dizziness; fainting; fast heartbeat; fever with increased sweating; flushing; headache; metallic taste; nausea or vomiting; numbness, pain, or tingling of hands or feet; pain or redness at injection site; redness of skin; skin rash or hives; swelling of mouth or throat; troubled breathing

Looks like that may be the culprit!!

They are not sure if I was having an allergic reaction to the Gemzar or the Venifer. Had both yesterday. They did say that was the first time they had seen that particular reaction, but that’s me for you weird.

Great news that you have finished your chemo :)
Did your doc give you a dx for problems with your feet?
