Ureter Burst?
2 weeks ago, my husband had side pain, he said it’s probably because he was inactive. It was about 2 weeks after his first cystocopy. I though maybe an infection.
2 weeks later, we went to our 2nd opinion visit and we decided to get faster treatment and go with our 2nd opinion doctor. He wanted another CT Scan to be sure the agressive cancer hasn’t moved outside the bladder. After the Scan, the radiologist said she needed to take him directly to the ER. We thought the cancer spread, scary stuff. After a 3 hour ER wait we were told that his left kidney ureter burst. They needed to put in a drain (neohrostomy).
Does this happen with Bladder cancer patients?
Now he’s cathered and nephrostomy – carrying around 2 bags. Bladder removal scheduled this Thur. 3/16/17. I am so scared for him.
