  I recently completed 6 weeks of BCG therapy. I am set to see my doctor again in 3 months. He said the bladder would be too irritated right after treatments to see how effective the BCG was. Is this typical of follow up to initial BCG treatments ?

  Yes, the bladder is usually irritated and inflamed for a few weeks so URO”S wait several weeks before evaluating how things look.

  DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.
