My wife and I have an uncle. He started with the fight with bladder cancer about a year before I did, in fact, we had the same urologist at one point. I was going to say Uncle Frank lost the battle this morning but, that is not the meaningful truth: the meaningful truth is, the pain and suffering have ended and for this I am glad. The battle, well ‘we all’ are still marching towards the day when more and more can win the victory of being cancer free. As a retired priest, I have told our Aunt, I will do the graveside services. You know we priests have a great, wonderful, profession but one very lousy part is when you have to bury too many of your friends and family.

Age 72 had radical 9/11/10 have conduit everything is fine, grateful to be a cancer survivor. Lost Dad and Brother to Cancer both in their 50’s.

So sorry for your family’s loss. There is comfort in knowing that now your Uncle Frank is free from suffering. I know you will find just the right words to honor him and comfort your Aunt, as difficult as that might be…

    Best wishes… Catherine
