I appreciate all the wonderful responses to my last post. I have tied a knot at the end of my rope and I am holding on for dear life. :) I am very grateful to have wonderful family friends and a church family to support me. I have a question. How long did it take for the pain to stop after the TURBT? I had mine on the 30th of August and I am still having so much pain that I did a UA just in case I had an infection. Thanks for the help. Amy

It shouldn’t take this long. Call your uro back and tell him something isn’t seeming right.

Unless he was taking tons of biopsies, you ought to be healed up by now and not having so much pain.

Like Cat said, if the pain gets any worse you should go to the ER just to be safe.

I am having pain in my bladder and urethra. It feels like a UTI but its not. The pyridium is not doing a thing to help.

The pain should be over by this time.

Please call you doctor and make sure you don’t have something like an infection going on.

What type of pain are you having? Does it feel like it’s in the bladder, or pain when urinating? It seems that at two weeks, you should not be feeling any significant pain so I think a call to your uro to report your discomfort/pain is in order as soon as you can reach him/her. If it gets really bad over the weekend, go to the ER.

I am very relieved that you have friends and a church family to support you. You will be very touched by how much they will want to help you when you need it. Keep holding onto that knot… you will notice that it is not quite as close to the end of the rope as you first thought. :)

    Best wishes… Catherine
