Diagnosed with stage 2 100% squamous cell bladder cancer. Having no chemotherapy or radiation. And being scheduled for removal of bladder
ValMorin85 I am sorry to say, the standard of care for muscle invasive cancer is a cystectomy. I would use a URO that does many of these a year (25-35+) a year. I am not up to speed on normal protocol for squamous for chemo prior however, I do know radiation is usually not a good idea as many times it damages tissues needed in re-construction (per the 9 month old thread start). It may well be time also to have a 2nd opinion for peace of mind and extra help. Ask away as you have further questions.
Just diagnosed the same way – radical cystectomy appears to be the best answers. Best of luck.
