So very grateful and happy!
Posted by jimswife on December 15, 2013 at 11:40 pmHi, Everyone, It seems as if it’s been a long time since I have really posted here but wanted to share our great news as well as inspire others with a stage IV diagnosis. Those who don’t know Jim was diagnosed back in the summer of 2010 with BC. He was stage III going into his RC/IC. Then during surgery they found that he had positive lymph nodes which put him into stage IV. Well, this Friday that happened to also be our 44th wedding anniversary we received amazing news that Jim is still Cancer Free until proven otherwise! His CT as well as his blood work was all great. Just fine. Woo hoo. As Jim says he always considered himself fairly remarkable but as of now he will take his CTs as not so remarkable. He says that as the reports often say that “findings unremarkable” We will take it! So, wanted to let all here know how things are going for us. Just great! And, to let those who have a stage IV dx not to be dismayed there is hope for a good life. Will his BC return maybe but until then we will continue to LIVE each day to it’s very fullest, and get the word out about BC and it’s symptoms. Florida is once again, the 3rd year in a row, to do a resolution declaring BC month throughout FLA USA in July 2014! We are so grateful for the representatives and senators to do this. It’s all about the awareness!
wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy, Healthy, Prosperous New Year!

Thank you all for your neverending support and love. It comes through in your posts it truly does. We are so very thankful and blessed by all that has come about over the past 3.5 yrs. I believe as my mother always used to say that God works in mysterious ways and it’s always for His reasoning. I believe it all the more now. So, thank you all so very much!

Nashville, TNThank you all for your good wishes. They are always appreciated! We’ve been busy since 2 weeks before Christmas. We received an offer on our home that wasn’t even on the market and the buyers accepted our price. I made for a very hectic 3+ weeks leading into closing. We are now living in Tallahassee, Florida and it has been cold for we two SW floridians! Not as cold as many of you have been but we aren’t used to the cold after 26 yrs of warm weather year around! Anyway, we have found a neat place with a great location for us to live and will close within a week-10 days. Exciting to be starting new at our ages but we figured…why the heck not? Our daughter lives here so after 20 yrs it will be nice to live closer than a 7+ hr drive to visit. Again. Thank you all for your support and good wishes! Happy New Year!
Carla and Jim… What a great way to start off a new year! Congratulations on getting another good report, and on your 44th Anniversary.
Your efforts to raise awareness of bc benefits all of us so thanks for all you do! And thanks for all you ARE…

What a GLORIOUS anniversary present AND Christmas present, Carla!!! I am so happy for you.
I took the liberty of moving your post into the “invasive” category where I felt that more people who really need to see this might catch it.
Again, congratulations and have a very happy holiday!!
