A second opinion is almost a must. You will want a center that has a sub specilaty that concentrates in bladder cancer 80-100% of the time. So many do a majority as prostate problems. This not only gives peace of mind but, a second set of eyes and ears certainly can’t hurt. If you happen to live in or around Texas, M.D. Anderson has wonderful BC staff.

As you may know, this is NOT the common type of bladder cancer. It would be very important for your father to be treated at a center that has a lot of experience in all types of bladder cancer.

Where does he live? Perhaps some of our members can suggest places he might consider for a second opinion and treatment options.

While most of us often recommend second opinions when there are treatment or diagnosis issues, in your case I, personally, feel that this would be very important.

Best of luck to you and your family.
