Does anyone know if there are any caveats on getting the shingles vaccine while you are undergoing BCG treatment? Not DURING the BCG, of course, but “in between?”

All I can say is I had a bag case of the Shingles about 12 years ago and so I should get the vaccine to keep from getting it again; it does re-occur  but I’m holding off as I am just not sure how it will affect me.

What I can say is….I pray I never get them again…they can be abolutely horrible; thought it was a bug bite so didn’t get an antibiotic….lost two weeks from work. But better than a friend of mine who got it at age 60 and after suffering two years, took a medical retirement.

I don’t know about the Shingles vaccine, however, last Nov. I had to get a Whooping Cough vaccine, because my we were visiting my newborn grandson. I was worried about the body’d immunity fight the cancer and the vaccine.
I asked my Internist, Uro and Dr Lamm – all said it was fine, so I did.
If you are uneasy, ask your doctors or Dr Lamm.
