    Hello,

So glad to have found this forum.

I was diagnosed with CIS by biopsy after feeling an ache in the bladder area.

I finished a six week round of BCG two weeks ago, but still feel a discomfort similar to the original symptom.

Can anyone advise me if the symptoms should clear up quickly after the BCG treatment or does it take a while.

I’m a bit worried that this is indicating that the BCG is not working.

    Thanks for any advice.

First you had the CIS which really irritates the bladder lining, then you had six weeks of BCG which REALLY IRRITATES THE BLADDER LINING. Two weeks is really not long enough for it all to heal. Afraid that you are just going to have to wait a bit longer….and the irritation does show that the BCG was working! I also had CIS so have been there, done that.

I hope that you are also being scheduled for maintenance doses of BCG. This has been shown to be much more effective, especially against CIS, than just the initial treatment.

Good luck to you …and PATIENCE.
