Possible recurrence after 5 years?
My dad had low grade stage 1 papillary tumor 5 years ago. Treated with turbt and BCG. No issues since. He had cysto every 6 months and now yearly. Nothing else ever seen. Today he had random blood work for another doctor and a urinalysis. His urinalysis was negative for everything on the dipstick. Under the microscope they report 3-10 rbcs in urine and trace protein. Thinking this isn’t good news for a bladder cancer survivor. Luckily he has his annual check in with urologist next week but now I’m worried about a possible recurrence. Any thoughts???? What else could it be??? No blood in urine and dip stick said negative for occult blood.
