  • Positive on Bladder Epicheck

    Hello to all,

3 years after diagnosed with non-invasive high grade, 1.5 years after a severe reactive arthritis erupted in both ankles, seemingly as reaction to BCG (was stopped after 15 treatments), and after 10 Cystoscopies, I performed a bladder epicheck test, and the result is 76 when 60 is the upper limit for negative.

My urologist plan is to perform a cystoscopy in the coming days, and if it will be good (no seen tumor) to perform a CTU too.

If it will be positive I guess a TURBT will be scheduled asap, and after that, I am not fit for BCG.

I wonder if there are any new developments since the last time I visited here.

    Mil. Thanks.

The above ended up as a false positive of bladder-epicheck.

In cystoscopy, MRU and samples taken in n operation, (almost) all was negative.

Right kidney was atipic, and considering all, my prof. decided to wait to the next cystoscopy/cytology.

Cytology came out negative for high grade and cystoscopy is in 2 weeks.

Check some of Joea’s posts. There are some new agents to augment or use in place of BCG.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Performed cystoscopy early this week which was alright.

I will soon go through MRU (Prof. wants to look at the kidneys too) and if no tumor will be seen, then he will take random biopsies from the bladder.
