I have had 5 blue light cystoscopes. This last one, they removed 5, all cancer, 3 of which had “superficially invasive”. I also have interstitial cystitis and a bladder ulcer. Though chemo is an option for the cancer, it is not a guarantee that the other issues would be alleviated. Bladder removal is an option. I need to know how you have dealt with the recovery of having it removed.

I am a male patient and I have not removed the bladder, so I cannot comment from experience for which I hope some patients post their experience soon. Removing bladder may be easier decision. Deciding which urinary diversion you will choose will require some research. For female, there are two incontinent diversion and one continent diversion. Incontinent diversion can be Ileal Conduit (IC) or Indiana Pouch (IP). Continent diversion is neobladder. You can google or find video in youtube to know more about each urinary diversion. Once you choose your preference, then you may want to choose a large hospital and a surgeon who has done many times the urinary diversion of your choice.
