    has any one had blisters on abdomin after surgery a nurse friend told me it could be be from the tape but it is four little blisters in RLQ between my stent drains and my stoma everything else seems okay until about 5 pm pain gets bad and have to get something more than my pump because it hurts so bad and i tense up so much my drains dont work but within 15 minutes of meds kick in and urine starts flowing again. I am walking lots chewing gum (yes pat at same time even on drugs talented i am) tummy is rumbling just not passing gas just yet.

    Hi Flo

    Glad you are through the surgery. For most folks it takes a few days for the GI tract to get restarted. I was pretty silent until post op day 4 or5. Keep up the walking and get them to repeat any info that you need clarified. Best wishes for your continued progress.

    Wow..i’m impressed Flo..walking and chewing gum at the same time!
    and on drugs no less.
    Give the bowels a couple of days..they’re very sleepy and they’re on drugs also remember!!
