Odd Question: For Men Only
Kind of an odd question, but here goes. Do you find that your ‘organ’ shrinks when you go for BCG or other exam? Its almost if it knows its going to get hurt by catheter and tries to hide. Anybody else find this to occur?

Funny but legitimate question. :) I have noticed the same thing. I think it might be for two reasons. First of all you are not paying attention
under normal daily circumstances and now you are about to expose yourself in
a non-sexual manner to someone you have never seen in your life. (where
I go it seems I get a different med tech for every treatment – they
also like to bring a trainee along for kicks!!!!) and the second reason is
that before getting BCG or Cysto you don’t normally drink much fluids so
you have sight dehydration.
During one of my BCG maintenance sessions, I said to one of the techs, “You have seen more penises that most have in a lifetime”. She
laughed and said her grandmother asked what she did at work and she said
‘fool with a lot of men’s penises’ – they both had a good laugh!
The treatment anxiety will go away somewhat (you’ll never get completely used to it) but know that it is just one of those necessary
things we have to do to get better.
