I have this superficial noninvasive cancer . I just would like to know if after they took my cathater out how long does it take to get urine without that feeling to go and without tiny spots of blood . not clots but specks. is that ok or should i go to the doctor straight away?

he told me not to take it before my operation, but now he said to start it again. He doesn’t want me to keep on taking it since I am having those clot things. I forgot to ask how long the clots go on.

Pretty big clots now,the doctor said I should stop taking my Cumadin again. He thinks that is making the spots where he took out the tumors bleed and make those clots. I wonder if it will stop soon. I been drinking a lot of water, but loks the same to me.

i think a week is what they generally tell you but ive had substantial bleeding 3 and even four weeks after. but do keep your doctors informed.

I called the nurse cause there are some kind of bigger clots. She said that can happen for a week or two , so I guess im not doing unnatural stuff.
    What do y’all think?

Welcome to our group!! I know that you don’t want to be here, none of us do, but it is a great place for knowledge and support. There is a lot of information on this web site and, IMHO, it is the best, most reliable, and complete of any on the internet.

From what you said, I assume that your diagnosis is papillary transitional cell carcinoma. That is where a lot of us started; many of us have moved “up” to other diagnoses. Usually, for this the initial treatment is what you had…a biopsy and removal of the tumor. BCG is usually used when it keeps recurring…multiple times…or if you have CIS “carcinoma in situ.”

Since he took a biopsy sample and removed the tumor there was injury to your bladder. It may take a week or so to heal before the blood specks disappear.

Again, I urge you to read all the background material on this web site. After that, there are lots of really knowledgeable people on this list to answer your questions and offer support.

I showed up here, like you, in January. What a long time ago that seems!
