Hi, I’ve got T1 type bladder cancer and upper trackt urine cancer since 4 years. Last 1.5 years I had both cystoscopies and urethroscopies every 2 month. A single biopsy in April 2019 mentioned several fioci invasion in the Lamina Propria. I received therefore 6 Mythomicin treatments. At the next cystoscopy, no bladder tumours where seen.
In January 2020, a scheduled CT has discovered some 40 tumours in my both lungs. The biopsy of one of them shows the same tumour (Urothelial carcinoma) as in the urine system.
Now, I am taking chemotherapy/immunotherapy at oncology department.
….and I ask: HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?

    Welcome!

I assume that perhaps you are not in the US? In the US if invasion of the lamina propria were found a radical cystecomy would probably have been recommended. At that point the cancer had already spread beyond the outer layer of the bladder lining and possibly elsewhere in the body.

    So sorry to hear this,

    Sara Anne
