New HG T1 with CIS
Had TURB with Urolift on prostate end of June. My Urologist thought it was going to be very superficial. When I went in for follow up 2 weeks later there was a pregnant pause my wife and I both recognized as trouble.
He said it had gone into second layer but not muscle so from depth not huge problem. But it was aggressive cells and high risk of recurrence.
After researching I found it’s very high recurrence and progression rate and also learned about BCG shortage.
I’ve moved case to Academic center and signed up for Tokyo naive BCG Trial to insure full dose and access through maintenance.
Second TURB scheduled on Tuesday to confirm staging. CT clean. PPD negative. Need this TURB to come back clean to make it into trial.
I’m a bit nervous to say the least.
