You got this, David! The unknown is always scary so nerves are normal. You will feel relieved once your surgery is done. In the meantime, do what you enjoy to keep your mind off of it as best you can.

I understand what you’re going thru, it’s only natural, I have nerves before every appointment … but what we have to try to remember is that bladder cancer is a treatable disease. Keeping a positive attitude is a big part of fighting this illness, it’s difficult but we need to keep reminding ourselves that we can win this battle. It’s a battle that I’d rather not fight, and it’s a battle that has given me a few setbacks, but it is something that we have to deal with. So far for me, the anticipation, dread, and nerves have been the worst part; I feel comfortable that I can and will beat bladder cancer – I’m sure you will too! Good luck!

You will do fine. One day at a time. This is fixable, some things are not such as ALS that took a good friend today. Focus on the fact it WILL be over and you then can focus on beating this…..which you will!
