my latest urine cytology
in november 2020 my urine test came back “suspicious for urothelial carcinoma.”
In January 2021 it came back “atypical urothelial cells.”
Now last week it says “Negative for high grade urothelial carcinoma. Benign squamous and urothelial cells present. Inflammation present.”
I had my turbt and bcgs last summer.
Can anyone give me any info on this? I am seeing my doctor in two days. -

I’d simply wait for your doctor as he has all of your history and files. For peace of mind it is good you are seeing him in two days.
That said, urine cytology is notorious for false positives. I had one about 6 or 7 years ago that showed something abnormal with my GP and annual physical. He insisted I see my URO which when I showed up he said “What are you here for”? He had reviewed it and it was nothing. Cytology with cystoscope usually confirms something suspicious or simply nothing which is what I would expect.
Let us know what your Doc says as many can relate to your situation.
