    :) Hi, by the end of the day my ankles are swollen also, I sit all day at work, just try keeping them elevated when you get home and they will go down in about 45 minutes.

    Claire…sorry we’ve been having problems with the site the past few days and haven’t been able to reply. Hope you’ve seen your doctor just to rule out anything…ankle swelling can be caused by something as simple as a bug bite (which ironically i just went thru)…or an underlying cause. You should have blood work done to rule out any peripheral condition. So yes call the doc!!!……Pat

    Pressure socks!

    They sell them at the pharmacy.

    Feet elevated, and maybe your doctor will prescribe Lasix.

    Watch fluid intake!

    Hi Patricia
    Nine months since surgery and no heat.I was hoping it would be gone this morning but its still puffy so ithink I will be popping down to the doctors.

    Claire…how long has it been since your surgery? I’d definately call the doc….any heat radiating from the swelling? Pat

    Hi,
    sounds like you need some ankle/foot massage to get the fluid moving. Strange as it sounds, when it happened to me the Dr. told me to drink more water and keep my leg elevated whenever I sat down.
    I would give the Dr. a call just to make sure.
