Much blood in urine- should I go to ER?
Good afternoon,
I am scheduled for a cystoscopy 10-30. I understand that the Dr. will scope the bladder and take a urine sample from the bladder to look for cancer cells. It is less than a week away, but I have waited for this procedure just short of a month following my Urologist’s first visit . Should the Dr. find a tumor during the exam, I will have to schedule biopsy for a later date to be performed at the hospital.
The last several days I have noticed my urine increasingly darker and copper-colored.
It is alarming. If I were to go to the ER, is it likely I would be admitted and be able to have a cytopscopy with biopsy right away? I just don’t know if I should wait until my exam next week or if I should try to get a jump on this now?Thank you,
Sophie
