Had my second 6-month checkup this morning and it went well…. cystoscopy looked good!! However, it wasn’t the easiest I have had. Just returned from Phoenix (118F) and evidently brought an intestinal bug home with me. Have been fighting diarrhea/vomiting for three days. Yesterday, wasn’t sure I would make the appointment. But I did.

Of course, I am dehydrated, so had a bit of trouble “donating” a large enough specimen! Had a few white cells, so that will be cultured. Need to go back in a week or so and give a sample for cytology.

    BUT IT ALL LOOKS GOOD!!

So happy to hear your good news. I’ll be following your schedule, with my next 6-month check-up in late October, and hope to follow you with the same good results.

    Great News!!!!

I know what you mean about Phoenix. I’m working with a client there for the next 10 weeks and have been going there for the last two weeks. The heat is crazy. Like sticking your head in a preheated oven and trying to breathe the superheated air.

So glad I come home to Colorado on the weekends!!!

    Great news sara ann,
I know how you feel about the once year check, kind of scary to think about going that long between checks – i`m not far off my next 6 monther, and if that is ok I think we go to yearly – I am trying to arrange urine cytology through my social security doctor in between cystoscopies just for peace of mind , but at the moment they are so slow on doing any sort of follow up, I will probably end up going private and paying again.
I think there are getting to be a few of us on here now who are “OLD TIMERS” – I hope they don`t throw us out – maybe we will need a new thread – food for thought anyway.
