Thank god for that I sometimes think I am going mad.I dont post that often because somedays I can barely formulate words I look back at what I have written and it makes no sense.
Thankyou Patricia -
Pat,
Thanks…good articles. Reading these also makes me feel better. I knew I was in trouble when I stayed over at the in-laws a month ago and couldn’t remember which faucet was hot and which was cold while I was showering. So I wouldn’t burn myself, I had to turn the water off and test each side to get it right. It seems like to me it’s the most simple things that trip me up. I had chemo from early May thru early July but never noticed the effects to my brain until November. I do feel, however, that since I’ve gone back to work that my brain is more challenged nd is getting better. Melodie

Why am i standing in front of the refrigerator?
patI have seen Chemo Brain in my Sister, my Niece and my Husband.
On my last visit to the Dentist, the person cleaning my teeth told me that her husband actually had Chemo Depression….it was very real and he had to be committed for awhile but is fine now.
Being the Caretaker of my Husband, I sometimes wonder what kind of brain I now have, I too forget things so easily, have a hard time keeping up with everything but then I think a lot of mine is called “overload & depression”. A notepad is always near me to help me through what I need to do.

PatGuestApril 5, 2008 at 2:42 amWell thank you :)
Beween the low B12 and chemo brain….is what’s left of my old brain! Hard to believe I was 4th in charge of a grocery store selling 1.2 million a week just over a year ago, and now I struggle to play the stereo, run the carpet cleaner or the dvd player. The electric can opener hit the curb! Honestly, it is real….and frustrating. But I do appreciate supporting evidence it is real!
