My mom had her surgery on Wednesday the 27th. Got the Indiana Pouch. So far everything looks good. She is sore, but up and walking! She has been trying to pass gas, unsuccessfully. But today she has started to chew gum in hopes that it might move her along.

During the day she is able to take short naps, but her nights are long, and sleepless. She is off the morphine, and has started on tylenol & toradol. Maybe this will help her sleep through the night.

I will keep writing to keep everyone updated, my mom is not up to it quite yet.
