Lung nodule
Again, I am frightened beyond belief. When reading my post chemo CT scan report I noticed that a new 7mm nodule has appeared in the bottom of my left lung. Two radiologist reports were written from this one scan – one at my local hospital and one at the hospital where I had my RC in April. (Long story about why this happened.) My local hospital didn’t mention the nodule in their report, but the hospital where I was operated on (Memorial Sloan) did.
The pathology on my bladder cancer showed invasive T1 N3 urothelial carcinoma with focal micro papillary features. Cancer was discovered in 6/over 40 of the lymph nodes they took.
Following surgery, in mid June, I started a three month chemo regime with a combination of Taxol, Gemzar, and Cisplatin. My last treatment was August 31 and my CT was performed Sept. 3.
My oncologist at Sloan is out of the country right now and I am thinking the worst. Is it possible that my cancer metastasized during chemo? Has anyone had a similar experience?
